Horan and Company, LLC, grew out of the partnership Pomtier, Duvernay and Horan from the 1970s with offices in Juneau, Ketchikan, and Sitka. It was consolidated in Sitka in 1986 as Horan, Corak and Company. In 2004 it became Horan and Company, LLC, remaining the largest commercial appraisal firm in Southeast Alaska. Over these years the staff has performed a wide variety of complex appraisal services. The company developed and maintains an extensive database of regional and statewide market transactions. Our appraisers are recognized as experts in complex land valuation issues and perform municipal assessment valuations.

Our firm provides both Commercial and Residential appraisal services. We appraise all types of general commercial property throughout Southeast Alaska. We specialize in industrial waterfront throughout coastal Alaska. We are statewide experts on large acreage valuation, conservation easements, and ANCSA land issues. We assist institutional land managers in developing permit schedules, lease rates, right-of-way and partial acquisitions, negotiations and valuation dispute settlements. We provide residential appraisals in Sitka.

We maintain a State-wide transaction data base for commercial sales, rents, rates, capitalization, land sales and other market indicators. We contract Assessments for Municipalities, Electronic Assessment Record and land valuation models. We develop seminars and presentation for boards and corporate staff, government agencies and for the public.
